Nalco Water and Quimtia S.A. enter strategic partnership for the South of Brazil
The agreement expands the footprint of our offerings for the paper and cellulose industries.

São Paulo, December 2018 – Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, has entered into a strategic business partnership with Quimtia S.A. in the Southern region of Brazil.

The strategic partnership provides exclusivity to Quimtia S.A. to distribute Nalco Water chemistries for the paper and cellulose markets, excluding the cellulose processing sector, in Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. The arrangement is expected to expand Nalco Water’s Paper and Cellulose business in those states, leveraging Quimtia’s broad logistics network in the region.

“Nalco Water has a 40-year relationship with Quimtia to help serve customers in Argentina, Colombia and Peru. We will now utilize their expertise to help us meet customer needs for our paper and water treatment chemistries,” says João Teodoro Frutuoso, head of Nalco Water’s Paper and Cellulose business in South America.
