Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources, has been named one of 2017’s World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune Magazine. This is the third consecutive year that Fortune has named Ecolab as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies.
Fortune measures corporate reputation based on nine key attributes from financial soundness to innovation. Within the chemicals industry, Ecolab ranked third overall, first for social responsibility and second for innovation, quality of products and services, people management, quality of management and long-term investment value.
Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list is based on responses from thousands of survey participants, including executives, directors and analysts, who rate companies in their industry on nine criteria. The 2017 survey included a total of 680 companies from 28 countries. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed as a World’s Most Admired Company.
